EA Mobile releases The Simpsons Itchy & Scratchy Land mobile game developed by G5

EA Mobile has released The Simpsons Itchy & Scratchy Land mobile game developed by G5 Entertainment for EA Mobile. The game was codenamed Project Emerald while in development at G5 for J2ME, BREW, Windows Mobile and Blackberry platforms. The company also provided additional porting services on this project.

Vlad Suglobov, CEO of G5 Entertainment, comments: “This game is the third game we developed for EA Mobile after the first Simpsons mobile game – Minutes to Meltdown, and Sims 2 Castaway mobile game. We are glad that our work for EA continues with the game codenamed Project Agate, which we currently have in development for several mobile platforms. We look forward to expanding our collaboration with EA in 2009.“

Big Fish Games releases Paranormal Agency game from Shape Games

Big Fish Games (, one of the leading casual game portals in the world, has released Paranormal Agency casual PC game, developed by Shape Games, a subsidiary of G5 Entertainment AB. Paranormal Agency is a game in a very popular Hidden Object genre, and will be exclusive to Big Fish Games portal for 30 days in exchange for additional marketing on their portal. All intellectual property rights in Paranormal Agency belong to Shape Games.

Vlad Suglobov, CEO of G5 Entertainment AB, comments: “Big Fish Games is known for having a large audience of fans of Hidden Object genre, and additional promotion on Big Fish Games portal will help realize the potential of the game. It is the first time a game from Shape Games is released through direct partnership with one of the world’s largest portals, and it means we’ll see better margins and turnover on this product. We are glad that the game made it to the market and will be heavily promoted before the end of the year. The first weeks of sales bring in a major part of the revenue which will be included in 2008 result.”

G5 Entertainment develops two original PC casual games for 2009

In accordance with the company’s strategy, G5 Entertainment has started the development of two original PC casual games for release in Q2 2009. The development is funded from the proceeds of the recently completed rights issue. The games will be distributed by G5 directly to the world’s leading PC casual game portals.

Vlad Suglobov, CEO, comments: “In 2008, G5 gained a lot of knowledge about PC casual games market from the release of company’s first PC casual game Supermarket Mania and acquisition of casual game developer Shape Games. For the new games, we have picked two genres that we believe will dominate the charts in 2009. Both games will be powered by our proprietary Talisman technology which already supports PC casual platform. We aim to deliver addictive game play experience, and raise the quality bar of casual games on PC.”
